Upcycled kids aprons
First day of Spring!!
Today I was able to cross many things off my to do list. Together with my mini-me, I got 2 potato towers completed. SEE THE FULL STORY AND PHOTOS ON MY GARDENING & OUTDOOR PAGE. I am always excited when I can use the rich soil we collect from the manure pile here on the farm. It is a rich blend of alpaca, goat & sheep manure, dirt and old hay…the outcome is a rich black soil.
I also put a fence up protecting our soon-to-be-sprouting grapes from the turkeys, prepped another garden space for planting kale, rotated the bantam eggs, cleaned the 6 new chicks lodgings and finished another upcycled kids apron.
☕️ In true mommy fashion. ..my day was broken up with meals, laundry, cleaning and meeting with the plumber to try to figure out why our water pressure has dropped.

Hello world!
Where to begin…
We live on a piece of land in Western North Carolina that I call paradise.
I love to grow food, try new recipes and make mistakes.
We have a small menagerie of farm animals including ducks, chickens, turkeys, goats, alpaca and sheep.
I have homeschooled my 2 children and step-son on and off for 14 years.
My 14 yr old son was born with a cleft lip and palate. It has been a challenging journey through surgeries and the need to be my sons #1 advocate to get the best care he can get.
We love to create, hatch new ideas and I love to see my kids and my ideas bloom.
🌸 Thank you for sharing in my journey of new experiences and learning from mistakes.
